Create Proxy Port - FatProxy
Overview
In this section, we will walk you through the process of creating a new proxy port in the FatProxy system. Each setting allows you to tailor the proxy to your needs, ensuring that your browsing experience is as efficient and secure as possible.
Steps to Create Proxy Port
1. Proxy Name
- Description: The name you choose will be displayed in the list of your proxies. This is for organizational purposes and does not affect the proxy's performance.
- Example: "Proxy 1", "Germany - Proxy", "High Speed Proxy"
2. Proxy Type
- Description: Select the type of proxy based on the exit node's IP address. The type you choose will determine both the anonymity level and speed of the proxy.
- Options:
- Mobile Proxy – Real devices.
- Residential Proxy – High anonymity, slower speed.
- Mixed Proxy –Corporate, Datacenter and Unknown.
3. Rotation
- Description: Decide how the proxy link should change the exit IP address. Rotation helps ensure IP diversity and prevents detection from being associated with a single IP.
- More Info: Read about Proxy Rotation.
4. Rotation Time (Minutes)
- Description: This setting defines how long (in minutes) the proxy will use a specific exit IP address before changing it. A lower time results in more frequent IP changes.
- Recommendation: Choose a rotation time that aligns with your use case. For example, if you're scraping websites, a short rotation time might help avoid detection.
5. Targeting Strictness
- Description: Determines how strictly the proxy link should alter the exit IP address. A more restrictive setting may result in fewer node choices, but can provide higher targeting precision.
- More Info: Learn about Targeting Strictness.
6. Country
- Description: Select the proxy country. This is a mandatory field. The country you select will determine the geographical location of your proxies exit IP.
- Important: Please read the Learn about Targeting Strictness carefully to understand how geo-targeting works before choosing a country.
- Example: United States, Germany, Japan
7. Region/State
- Description: If available, you can specify the region or state where the proxies exit IP should be located. This setting is optional and depends on the available nodes in the selected country.
- Important: Please read the Learn about Targeting Strictness to understand how targeting works at this level.
8. City
- Description: If available, you can further specify the city for your proxy. This option is ideal for highly-targeted use cases.
- Important: Please read the Learn about Targeting Strictness to understand how city targeting works.
9. ASN/Provider
- Description: Select the ASN (Autonomous System Number) or provider for your proxy. This option allows you to target specific IP providers or networks for increased customization.
- Important: Read the Learn about Targeting Strictness for more on how ASN targeting works.
10. Postal Code (ZIP)
- Description: You can enter a postal code for your proxies exit IP location. This adds extra precision when targeting a specific area.
- Important: Please read the Learn about Targeting Strictness to understand how postal code targeting works.
11. Proxy Link Format
- Description: Choose the proxy link format that best suits your use case and the software you are using.
- More Info: Learn about Proxy Link Formats.
12. Description
- Description: You can add a custom description for this proxy to help with organization. This is for your reference only and does not affect the proxy's performance.
- Example: "Proxy for scraping site A"
Additional Notes
- Important: The settings you select will directly affect the performance and anonymity of your proxy. Choose the settings that best suit your needs.
- Note: Once you've created the proxy, it will appear on your proxy list for management and further configuration.
